CELESTIAL TALES IN DEJHAGASCAR

In a hot afternoon
my friend Dominic Diamant alias Don Quixote of Dejhagascar
called me to his territory,
where he writes about all that is human,
from desolation to exaltation,
and from naturalism to cosmogony.

He wanted to read out a new poem to me,
a poem about us and our passion for the Cosmos.

SAZA AND DONQUIX
or
SPACEMAN SAZARTINUS AND DON QUIXOTE OF DEJHAGASCAR
-by Dominic Diamant-

“Let’s conquer the heights”
said the two friends
“and let’s amaze the entire world
about how the wonders can attract.”

One of them launched unique projects
along with other people fond of stellar worlds
and cosmic adventures, lived
in strange infinite spaces.

The other, with a frenzy
known only by the Creator,
opted for a rare strategy,
full of surprises,
to be spoiled by high spirits.

Thus the two completed one another
in their daring action
to conquer, transform and tame
the stellar worlds.

… When some frequency, wave or ray
feel the cosmic symphony vibrating,
the two wanderers through stellar worlds
fully live the sublime blessing.

A adoptat o strategie rară
Şi plină de surprize, să nu moară
Nainte de-a fi fost să se răsfeţe
Un duh divin cu infinite feţe

Şi astfel, amândoi se completară
În acţiunea cea mai temerară
De cucerire şi transfigurare
A, îmblânzite, lumilor stelare

...Când simfonia cosmică vibrează
Pe vreo frecvenţă, undă sau vreo rază
Cei doi rătăcitori prin lumi stelare
Trăiesc sublima binecuvântare.

Then, after a few beers,
he read out another recent poem:

A CELESTIAL TALE
-by Dominic Diamant-

Once upon a time in a galaxy
there was an unusual divine fact
in a system with eight planets
the Sun fell in love with the Moon.

But Selene, a capricious temper,
could not go too far of home
she remained on her orbit
being a devoted daughter to Gaia.

Although rejected by the coquettish young lady
the Sun continued his fascinating racing
watching her just to catch her
and to make her his fancy woman.

But the frisky and attractive blond girl
keeps him in the distance and calls him with her charm,
wanting to show that all is nothingness
and only their game is endless.

Fiindu-i Geei fiică devotată

Cum Soarele nu concepea să fie
Respins de o cochetă naşparlie
S-a angajat în cursa-i fascinantă
S-o prindă şi s-o facă-n veci amantă

Dar blonda, jucăuşă şi nurlie,
Ţinându-l la distanţă, îl îmbie
Cu farmecele ei, voind s-arate
Că jocul ţine o eterrnitate.

Later, when I left the lonely poet,
the Dejhagascar garden seemed to be guarded
by the sun cross of a church,
on one side…

… and even by the Moon,
on the other side…

… both of them full of
cosmic, legitimate pride.
