The First Ten Editions of the Cosmopoetry Festival

In the light of the Cosmic Tree,
Life comes from the
Heavens.
-Valentin Grigore-
Moment of the moments-
trying to become
a being of light
-Andrei Dorian Gheorghe-
Words?
Let them find orbits.
I liberated them from gravity.
-Dan Mitrut-
Are we watched by
a high eye?
Or by a heart in the sky?
-Andrei Dorian Gheorghe-

In the Eternal Youth Land
(or at the Cosmopoetry Festival of SARM)

Literary talks in the astral language
luminously vibrating in any dimension,
amazing young stars
graciously dancing,
academic pulsars
trying to blind the audience
through clever sophisms,
nice galaxies
performing heavenly princesses,
unexpected fireballs
provoking shocks...

colossal tournaments, cosmo-odysseys,
astro-madrigals, great awards...
all in spite of a
poor, capricious and miserable time...

so
incredibly
my life's sad party
seemed to catch an eternal halo.

The Cosmopoetry Festival was founded in 1996 by Andrei Dorian Gheorghe, Valentin Grigore and the Romanian Society for Meteors and Astronomy-SARM to be a medium for readings of poetry about the Cosmos and especially astronomical poetry (astropoetry) from all over the world and all times, adorned by astrofolk and electronic music, astrodramas, and showrooms of astronomical photographs and arts. The spirit of this festival has expanded into the world through SARM's other initiatives out of Romania, including presentations of English anthologies of Romanian and international astropoetry (since 1996), and shows and exhibitions of astro-photo-art-poetry for the International Meteor Organization Conferences (since 1997) and many other international astronomical and cultural events. the sky together with the people on Earth.

to make just a little bit of light.
