ECLIPSED SUNRISE
Many nights
sky lovers watch
heavenly bodies writing poems
on the constellations' symphonies.
But when the Sun blends with the Moon
for a partial eclipse in the morning...
this could be a heavenly blues.

The most fascinating, unusual
and exciting sunrise I ever saw.
It was a special emotion,
something sublime in
the red-orange colours
of the eclipsed Sun's expression.
A unique image
of what was earthly named
the partial solar eclipse of May 2003.
Valentin Grigore, Targoviste

The most interesting sunrise in my life.
The Moon biting the Sun,
a slow appearance,
images put out of shape by turbulence,
but more charm in the spectacle.
Alexandru Conu, Magurele

Superb eclipse...
For a moment,
I thought I see a prominence
in the lunar relief,
but it transformed into
a great sunspot!
Laurentiu Alimpie, Timisoara

The eclipsed sun
appeared extremely spectacular,
a red and strongly deformed sickle...
Emil Neata, Craiova

We climbed a hill
with three eclipse glasses:
two good,
and the third through which
we could see three suns and some fog!
Lucian Curelaru, Brasov

I was shocked
seeing the red and gigantic sun
rising like a half moon!
Alexandru Tudorica, Targoviste

A deception:
many people passed near us and didn't ask
what some boys share with the sun...
Raul Truta, Targu Mures

I watched the eclipse from an isle on River Bistrita.
Images with water and fishers too.
Let's develop the film!

DOWN... the Earth
and the fight to take from its fruits.
UP... the Sun
and the fight to take from its mystery.
I was so eager, that I asked myself
how I could see the partial solar eclipse
before sunrise.
And I'll never forget
the Sun rising victorious from the Earth
and climbing the skies
like a golden high boot...
