THE 3RD WAVE
Astro-photo-poem by Andrei Dorian Gheorghe

On March 28, 2021,
in spite of the Full Moon holiday,
the sky lovers lost 3 hours of starry night
because of the reintroduction of the summer hour
and a new night quarantine from 8:00 PM,
practically from the time of twilight,
because of the 3rd wave of the pandemic.

I waited for the rise of the Full Moon near my block from 19:20 to 19:45
(when I was still free to move in town),
but she preferred to hide behind the clouds,
so I could see her only from my balcony shortly before midnight.

Conclusion:

That day I saw,
fighting the clouds,
the non-quarantined Sun
and the neo-quarantined Moon.

EMAIL TOURNAMENT WITH VALENTIN GRIGORE

Morning, March 29, 2021, Targoviste’s Princely Court
and the president of SARM…

A MARCH MORNING
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe

When the Full Moon sets,
she always leaves the world just
in good solar hands

MORNING

the church of the Princely Court.

(When she goes to sleep,
the locals wake up).

AT THE OBSERVATORY
(Bucharest, March 29, 2021)
Astro-photo-poem by Andrei Dorian Gheorghe

On that morning
I saw Urania passing under my balcony
and leaving a spring perfume,
which I followed to the Municipal Observatory that afternoon.

I found there that its program for the large public
was reduced daily until 6 pm,
so only in daylight.

Symbolically, I photographed the Sun
at the foot of the observatory and on its terrace,
where I found its coordinator, alone and sad,
measuring the sky and guessing the constellations
with stars, galaxies, clusters and nebulae
beyond daylight.

RUN AMONG THE BLOSSOMS
Astro-photo-poem by Andrei Dorian Gheorghe

On March 29, 2021
I ran among the blossoms …

…Later I saw (from my balcony
because of the night quarantine and the Summer Legal Time)
how the Moon came to complete the landscape.

Dear politicians from everywhere:
You want to impose an anti-pandemic vaccine passport for the people.
What do you say also about a nocturnal passport for sky lovers?

LIVE TOURNAMENT WITH ADRIAN BRUNO SONKA

On March 29, 2021
I went to the Admiral Vasile Urseanu Bucharest Municipal Observatory
to visit its coordinator Adrian Sonka
(whose name was recently chosen by the International Astronomical Union
for an asteroid).

Although his office is decorated with pictures with the Moon,
I chose for an unusual tournament with him
one of its fine texts about the Universe
from the observatory halls,
in which he presents the planet Mars.
In my opinion, a veritable and admirable prose poem.

And I used two recent pictures with Mars
(one disturbed by light pollution above the children’s observatory
in the prolongation of the Youth Park, taken on March 5,
and a much better one in the same park, taken on March 14)
and two pictures with the Moon (taken on March 29 from my balcony).

MARS
By Adrian Bruno Sonka

Mars is the planet that had all.
From the composition of the rocks we found out that
water has been in the liquid state for a long time.
From the detailed images we obtained,
we saw rivers hundreds of miles wide
through which huge amounts of water
were catastrophically spilled.
Even the color of the planet shouts at us
“good living conditions”
because rust can only occur from water and oxygen.
We don't know one thing yet:
if there really was life here.
Martian life would have had amazing views:
ice at the poles, mountains 20 km high,
canyons deeper than the Marianas Pit,
craters of all sizes.
Next time you think of Mars, call it
“Our future home”.

MARS, MOON AND IRIDESCENT CLOUDS
Astro-photo-poem by Andrei Dorian Gheorghe

Mars with Phobos
and Deimos, Earth with Moon, and us…
with cosmic problems.

BUCHAREST, MARCH 30, 2021
Astro-photo-poem by Andrei Dorian Gheorghe

The incidence rate of the pandemic has become high,
so now the night quarantine starts at 20:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays,
and at 22:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

In these conditions,
I’m afraid that Global Astronomy Month 2021 will soon be
only Global Solar Astronomy Month 2021.
